Blount (spr. Blaunt), 1) Charles, war Statthalter von Portsmouth u. Vicekönig von Irland u. Günstling der Königin Elizabeth; erst. 1606. 2) Sir Henry, geb. 1602 in Tittenhanger in Hertfordshire; wurde von Cromwell zu mehreren Gesandtschaften gebraucht u. st. 1632. Er schr. u.a.: Reise in die Levante, Lond. 1636; 3) Charles, englischer Deist, st. 1697; übersetzte die Lebensbeschreibung des Apollonios von Tyana von Philostratos, Lond. 1680, Fol., u. schr.: Oracles of reason etc.; Werke, 1695, 2 Bde.
