Eyo, 1) (Yarriba), Reich in dem Benin-District Guineas (Westafrika), reicht nach Norden bis zu 10° nördl. Br., wird durch den Mussafluß vom Reiche Vorghu getrennt u. im Osten vom Niger bespült u. westlich vom Reiche Dahome begrenzt; das Land ist gebirgig, wasser- u. waldreich, meist fruchtbar; die Bewohner sind heidnische Neger, theilweise den Fellatahs unterworfen; 2) (Katunga), die ehemalige Hauptstadt des Reiches, am Fuße einer Kette nackter Granitberge, mit Mauer u. Graben umgeben u. in waldreicher Gegend.
