Neben seiner juristischen Praxis beschäftigte er sich seit 1821 bes. mit dem Neugriechischen u. gab heraus: Τραγῴδια τῶν νεωτέρων Ἑλλήνων (griechische Volkslieder), Grimma 1827; Beiträge zur besseren Kenntniß des neuen Griechenlands, Neust. 1831; Geschichte der Griechischen Revolution, Lpz. 1833, 2 Bde.: Τραγῴδια τῆς νές Ἑλλάδος 1833; Neugriechische Chrestomathie, 1835; Handwörterbuch der Neugriechischen Sprache, 1841; Neugriechische Anthologie, 1844; Neugriechische Volkslieder; ebd. 1849; ferner den 1. Band des Πανόραμα τῆς Ἑλλάδος von Alex. Sutsos, 1835, u. übersetzte dessen Roman: Ὁ ἘξόιστοΧ τοῦ Außerdem beleuchtete er die kirchlichen u. politischen Zustände u. Angelegenheiten Deutschlands in einzelnen Schriften. 5) Friederike Roswitha, Tochter von K 3), geb. am 7. Aug. 1814, verheirathete sich 1841 mit ihrem Cousin, Alexander Kind, Advocat in Leipzig, u. st. am 4. Novbr. 1843. Sie schr.: Gedichte, Lpz. 1843.
