Lack-Dye

Lack-Dye, ein Surrogat der Cochenille, wird in Indien durch Auskochen des Gummilacks mit schwacher Sodalösung u. Niederschlagen der Abkochung mit Alaun bereitet; enthält den Farbestoff des Gummilacks, Thonerde u. Harz; kommt in braunen Täfelchen in den Handel u. wird gewöhnlich mit Zinnsalz in der Scharlachfärberei angewendet.
