Bruciŏli (spr. Brutscholi), Antonio, geb. in Florenz zu Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts; unter der Verschwörung gegen das Haus Medici mußte er nach Frankreich fliehen, verbreitete zurückgekehrt die dort gelernten Grundsätze der Reformation, wurde deshalb arretirt u. wanderte nach seiner Befreiung nach Venedig aus, wo er 1554 st.; er übersetzte dort die Bibel, Ven. 1546–48, 3 Bde. Fol., u. des Plinius Naturgeschichte, ebd. 1543; gab heraus: Petrarcas u. Boccaccio's Werke; u. schr.: Gespräche, ebd. 1526, Fol.
