Stone's-Rivers; Boden hügelig, fruchtbar u. wohlangebaut; Producte: Mais, Hafer, Baumwolle, Kartoffeln, Kalkstein, Rindvieh, Schweine; Eisenbahn von Nashville nach Chattanooga; Dampfschifffahrt auf dem Cumberland-River; 1850: 38,881 Ew., worunter 14,175 Sklaven; Hauptstadt: Nashville, zugleich Hauptstadt des ganzen Staates Tennessee.
