Polylith, Mineral, erscheintderb, in Trümmern u. Platten von schaliger Zusammensetzung, nach einer Richtung spaltbar, spröd; Härte 6 bis 7; specifisches Gewicht 3,2; schwarz, glasglänzend, undurchsichtig; besteht aus Kalk, Eisenoxydul, Manganoxydul, Kieselerde u. Thonerde; findet sich im Serpentin zu Hoboken in New Jersey.
