Ructation

Ructation (v. lat.), das Wiederaufstoßen verschluckter, od. mit Speisen u. Getränken in den Magen gelangter, od. auch daselbst aus Speisen od. auch krankhafter Weise aus dem Magensafte od. der Galle entbundener Luft; in letztem Falle auch mit ranzigem, bitterem, fauligem Geschmack verbunden. Angst, Druck in der Herzgrube begleiten dies Übel oft; strenge Diät u. Magenmittel helfen dagegen.
