Colocci (spr. Kolotschi, Colutius), 1) Lio C. Pierio Salutate, geb. 1330 auf dem Schlosse Itignano, wurde apostolischer Secretär bei Urban V., privatisirte nach dessen Flucht nach Avignon lange, machte sich durch Auffindung vieler römischer Klassiker einen Namen unter den Wiederherstellern der Wissenschaften, wurde 1375 Kanzler in Florenz u. st. 1406; er schr.: Epistolae, herausgegeben von Rigaccio, Flor. 1741 ff. 2) Angelo, geb. 1467 (1469) in Jesi, Leo's X. Secretär, nahm nach Pomp. Lätus Tode die Accademia romana (s. u. Akademie) in seinem Hause auf, welches aber 1527, bei der Einnahme Roms, mit allen Sammlungen verbrannte; er wurde 1537 Bischof von Nocera, entsagte seiner Stelle 1543 u. st. 1549 in Rom; seine Antiquitätensammlung ist in den Gärten des Sallust aufgestellt; Lebensbeschreibung von Ubaldini, Rom 1673, von Lancelotti, ebd. 1772.
